Here's a few of my perl scripts that I sometimes find useful, and maybe someone else will too. Contact Me for any suggestions or comments.

• mailsum
  I use this to display incoming mail in a Linux shell. It just parses a procmail logfile and prints out lines similar to MH's 'inc' (but why not just run MH?). It runs procmail's 'mailstat' at the end to clear the log and display a summary. It can be configured to ignore certain patterns such as spam tags. It obviously reqires perl and procmail.

  The lines it can print will look like this, containing the folder, time, sender, and subject in differnt columns:

   inbox    06:45 mrb@localhost. Testing mailtail
   

• mailtail
  This is the same as mailsum, except that it runs continuously until you send it a signal. I use it to display a procmail's activity in a shell window.


• mflushq
  A command-line perl script to delete all pending moderator requests in a GNU mailman list. It uses LWP to post the request to the admin URL for the list. It requires the admin-url and admin-password for your list on the command line or in a config file.
